Hi all,
I seem to be having a problem with my version of Real Player Plus version 8 and I dunno how to solve it.
Every time I click on a Real Player file in my browser (fully updated IE5.5) the programme loads then I get a nasty GPF box and the Real Player freezes. My browser remains usable though so I don't think it's a problem with that.
I've tried reinstalling but with no luck.
Any ideas???

I'm only guessing that you might be using Win 98. I've always had problem with the Real Player either locking up or hogging system resources. I've spoken to one of the developers of RealPlayer and they're very careful what thry tell you - one thing he did mention was the word "problem" the preceeding word was "possible". I translate that as "full of bugs".
The only thing I can suggest is that you note the full error and e-mail Real Player support and see what they say.

I have also had this problem.
The workaround (for whatever reason) is to open realplayer first, then use the "File" - "Open File" command to point it at the file you want to play.
Bizarre, I know.
