Ever so slightly off topic, but, there is a computer standard used by scanners and digital cameras called TWAIN.

pilot lite - that is not off the topic. It too is a TLA - a Tetra Letter Acronym.

This was the topic of a thread about 6 months ago. Try searching the archives for "TLA" it may turn up something.

Cheers

Hmm... Had a think about the "Tech" merits of this one, and decided to move it to the Computer/Internet issues thread!

You can chase it there!

I suspect spider_monkey was looking for aviation related acronyms, I was just chipping in with a computer related one to set the ball rolling.

Perhaps this should go back to Tech Log PDQ IMHO.
