Angry Individual Window sizing/positioning

Operating Windows 2000 Professional. When I select 'open in new window' when browsing the web, the window that appears is only half size - I have to use the maximise button.. .. .Also, when I use 'file - print', the print window appears with the bottom half off the page - I have to drag it up to get to the print command.. .. .Anybody know of a way to specify window size on opening and window position?

Not sure if this will solve your problem if it only exists when selecting 'open in new window' but 'Windows' remembers the position and size of your windows when you close them. So if you close all your browsing-windows, then the next time you start a new one it will have the size and position of the last closed one. Try to resize a window (not maximize) and then close it and open a new one. . .. .I agree it's very annoying, especially if you like your windows to have the maximum size of the screen. Since maximizing and closing won't do the trick and I'm tired of spending time on resizing perfectly to the edges, I use a little javascript on my startpage (located on my HD) which moves the window to the top left corner and resizes it to the available width and height of the screen.. .. .I hope this can help you towards a solution to your problem.

Try this:. .. .1.Close all instances of Internet Explorer . .2.Start the Registry Editor . .3.Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Main . .4.Delete the value Window_Placement . .5.Exit the Registry Editor
