Question Netscape Browser and WinXP

Cannot run Netscape at all, freezes up the computer, it was ok with Win2K though. Can sometimes open the home page but try and get to mail or another link and everything stops dead, have to re-boot, even ctrl+alt+del doesn't work.. .Wondered if anyone else had similar problems or knew of a 'fix' - I am running IE6 as my default browser. 256MB RAM, Pent.4 etc.. .. .Any ideas please? . . . . [ 21 March 2002, 09:51: Message edited by: G.Khan ]

I believe anything older than Netscape 6.21 has problems in XP.

I had problems using this website with Netscape. Asked my nice boss why I couldn't click on the links & it kept freezing & I narrowed it down to the browser, Find Internet Explorer okay though.. .. .Emerald

Actually, looking at the Netscape website, it just says that 6.2 has "better integration" with XP. So earlier versions may work... If you have a decent connection, get the latest one.. .My company (software) only supports 6.2x on XP.

Of course it may all be part of the plan from the Deathstar in Redmond to take over the world by making everything it doesn't own and sell incompatible. . . . .. .I am using Win XP Pro/Office XP Pro at the moment and have to say its the best thing to come out of MS ever!. . . . [ 23 March 2002, 08:42: Message edited by: Jet II ]

Thanks everyone - now running 6.2.1 and so far, (famous last words!), it is OK.
