Broad-band connections
Chaps,
my belkin modem/router keeps dropping my internet connection. ie the little red light shows there is no internet connection. But when I plug in the originally supplied wanadoo modem/router in it connects no problem.
Has anyone else had this problem, and does anyone know why the belkin modem loses the connection?
Thanks for any help
DB

Duff Beer,
If it's an ADSL modem/router then it's most likely a problem with the MTU tiomeout which some ISPs set to a value that you can't set in the Belkin router.
Suggest you look at the link below for details, but it's a Belkin thing I'm afraid.

I used to have a Belkin modem. I gave up on it for this reason (among others).
Some routers allow you to tweak the MTU to get the best setting. Some (even expensive ones like Draytek) don't, or make it very difficult.
