"The server is too busy at the moment"
Just wondering how the PPRuNe server can display this message that it is too busy, but each time it manages to serve fresh advertising messages.

I think it may well be that the forum database server is to busey, but apache or whatever they run can still serve the basic / static pages, the adverts would be hosted remote or via a different db to the forum one.
Or the forum has been set to display that message when x people are on it in order to keep it moving fast and error free...

OK, the ads originate from a different server but presumably the main PPRuNe server is what integrates it all into the html page that gets served out to the users.
Not a criticism, just a technical query for how it gets done.
