MS Works 8 Word processor problem

Whenever I try to copy and paste into a Word Processor doc, I get this message:

" The information you have copied exceeds the limit for pasting into the Word Processor. Try reducing the size of your selection, and then copy and paste again".

Even reducing the selection to a few words generates the same response.
When carrying out the same process in Open Office it works perfectly.
I've tried re-installing Works and doing a search for the problem but to no avail.

Any suggestions, Gentlemen?

Thank you,

N o t a

PS I've looked at the clipboard contents and only the text I had copied was present, ie: it wasn't overloaded.

Aha! As Alan partridge might say...............

Thanks for that SD. I wasn't too hopeful that that one was going to succeed as it apparently only applies to Works 6 & 7 but it's a perfect solution.
I'm going to apply the engineering adage of 'working well, leave it alone'.

Thanks again,
