CLose. I think he's from Kansas.
He's some 24 year old kid who's been a professional video game player for about five years. Apparently he's the top dog in his chosen field havin pulled in over three hundred grand in the last five years. He's also become world champeen in five dfferent games, an unheard of achievment.
Rather than being a spotty, basement dewlling teenager with a hundred yard stare, he actually seemed quite well spoken and personable and even a little athletically inclined as well.
What's interesting though is that the prediction is that the video game industry is poised to become as popular a spectator sport as baseball or football in the near future if the article I saw could be believed. Unbelievable, perhaps, but then again, grown men hitting a ball with a stick and getting millions for it...?
Time wil tell I suppose, but there is already an MLG - major League Gaming
