Question Windows Explorer???

Running Windows XP Pro. In the last few days when I open windows explorer my view is thus: On the right pane I have all the folders and files in My Documents folder and in the left pane, an abreviated file/folder tree, where I cannot expand the My Documents tree until I click on a folder or file in the right pane? In other words, the expand symbol/icon (a + sign) is missing.

Any help or suggestions to return to normal would be appreciated.

Was this ever sorted, Capt Claret?
This suggestion is a bit of a bodge, rather than fixing the original fault, but might be work. Goto microsoft.com, search for & download TweakUI and I think one of the options may be to auto refresh explorer window contents. Worth a shot at least...

Thanks SS,

The fix is to remove from the My Documents folder a folder called, My Data Sources.

I don't know where My Data Sources comes from, or what it does but every thing works ok without it?
