Folder access problems...
Help!
Had severe XP problems and it will not reinstall on my hard drive nor can I repair the installation.
I added a new hard drive and installed XP on that fine. With explorer I can see the old My Documents folder, with all the info I want to recover but as soon as I try to open it I get an Access Denied warning and I can open/copy/rename/etc the folder. Other folders open OK.
I may have protected it from sharing when I had a 'lodger' but it doesn't give me an option to enter a password, etc.
Any ideas how I can get to my documents?

You mean you view it across a network? Windows doesn't allow access to My Documents folders via sharing across a network (nor prog files nor some others but I cant remember which).
