Me too, nosefirsteverytime, I kept getting a "not authorised" message. I don't visit chat very often so I posted a query about it myself. Read through the FAQs but they're not much help to a techno-retard like me unfortunately.

In the interests of research (I forbid myself from going into chat when at the office, on the grounds of justifying it as work related might be a touch difficult) I just breezed in and out with no problems. As Hawk says, some users did experience problems around this time last year and SWH's research helped many people out.
