Which laptop?
Well, I was just buying a new remote control for the TV and found that I was the 10000000 client of the store, unbelievable
. The price? 2500 euros to be spent in the store. So I have decided to buy a new laptop. Which are your recommendations? Which one would you choose? I have until this Saturday to decide between a lot of models.

Apple iBook G4 with some extra RAM and the DVD writer. Powerbook may have a few extra gizmos, but probably not worth the extra cash. Cool looking machine as well.

Thank you all for the congratulations and for the advices.
I give you the link to the store but itīs in Spanish and couldnīt find an English version and they have a lot more notebooks in the store than in the webpage. I think they have available every single notebook you want to buy, a lot of them.

mrq,
If you are looking for a beast, then this Toshiba would make a great Desktop Replacement Notebook:
Satellite P20-771 IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 Hyperthreading a 3.4 GHz
Something for less money which would make a great Gaming Notebook is:
Satellite M30X-128 IntelŪ PentiumŪ M Centrino 745 a 1,80 GHz.

Another to look at is the Sony:
Desktop Replacement Notebook:
Vaio VGNA217S Intel Pentium Centrino M 735 a 1,70 GHz.
Take Care,
Richard

I'm with evo - go for an IBM Thinkpad T40. Its not the looks that matter so much - all that built-in IBM support and security protects your data, providing considerable added value.
One day, when you've been infected once too often, you can reach for the blue 'IBM Access' button and open the toolbox that gets you out of trouble and rescues your files.
