Sasser Worm
During download of Xp updates for my newly updated system, I appear to have received the above. Norton Internet won't work, system warns me of switch off in 60 secs and then closes down. I have looked at the previous advice on this site, but it is a bit too advanced for me. Could anyone provide some simple advice? [I'm pretty sure it is sasser as it mentions the word sasse.exe in the shutdown message].

It would be worth downloading:
McAfee AVERT Stinger
And then run it while your computer is offline.
