ISEARCH toolbar. How do i get rid of it?

Hi,

I tried to load the Goolgle popup blocker in IE and at the same time the Isearch toolbar appeared.

I managed to deinstall the google toolbar but the isearch one is still there.

Any ideas how I get rid of it?

The machine is a PC running XP. Ive tried running adware, norton antivirus scan but its still there. Any ideas?

I would suggest you download HijackThis from here

Do a search and delete any files you find.

Run the program and find the entry for isearch. Put a tick next to it and click fix checked. This should then remove it.

I would also recommend you read all information available

here

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Another option:

Startup Control Panel from http://www.mlin.net

This is an EXCELLENT piece of software for getting rid of all the rubbish that some software installs and most types of virii, bugs, trojans and other rubbish.
