EASA license in South America

Dear all,
I have a European ATPL license.
I would like to know if is possible to work with a EASA ATPL license in South America (Argentina) or, if not, what kind of license they accept and how can I find some information about the conversions.
I've already wrote to the Argentinian authority but....no answer.
Thanks to all for your help!
