To anyone on this forum that applied to Cal for the FO position (posted Sep2012), did any of you receive an interview scheduled as of late?

Yes a friend of mine got an email for an interview for the end of the month. I heard they calling out a lot of people. dont know why? any one knows how much they calling out and how much they planning on hiring.
Dont waste your time applying to this outfit. They will shortly be shutting down the Jamaican operation, and within a year or so the London route will follow. Severe contraction in store for this company, if not outright closure.

Hello, i am new to this site and I am now seeing these post about Caribbean Airlines. Being 2013 and the board of CAL being fired/removed, is the Ab initio programme still up and running? Any info will be greatly appreciated

Oh, yeah I found it strange (as I've never heard anyone talk about psychometric testing at CAL). Hopefully they will have the sim evals soon for those who are waiting. Who knows, maybe they will do it again locally? That would be interesting...

Resignation
I hear the acting CEO Robert Corbie resigned from Caribbean Airlines over the weekend and the Minister of Transport accepted his resignation. Any further news, rumour or guess who will replace Mr Corbie ?

yeah, i saw that last night too...strange.
Other than that, no news from anyone i've heard regarding the recruitment process. Last I heard from anyone that spoke to HR is that they haven't done anything since the psychometric testing. I'd think they'd organize the sim evals by now...
...Most of the applicants I know of are starting to head back to Canada/US to pursue other options

Yeah, me either... It makes sense, flying skills deteriorate when not in use...gotta keep flying and keep current! Would be nice to know when/if they do fill the position so you don't have to "wonder"
