Hey autothrust good luck to you.
Myself moved back from the USA after 7 years, and I am already employed thank God! My biggest pain in the butt was dealing with ANAC and their messed up system and crap.
I did my ICAO english test and they gave me level 4, and I speak and write fluently! I even spoke better than the person applying the oral test. That's just one of the things I had to deal with, among many more.
So now I'm gonna have to pay another 500 bucks to do it again. That's just ridiculous.

portuguese required?
Hi guys,
I have a brazilian passport because my parents worked there for several years, but i grew up in spain, and my mother's tongue is spanish. I can understand portuguese pretty well, but i can't barely speak it. However, my english is so fluent.
I have found some job offers, and they require Brazilian passport, which I already have, but they don't say anything about language requirements (just english).
Do you think speaking portuguese is esential to get an airline job in Brazil?
Thanks!

Hi Vicias:
I´m a spanish living in Brazil. Yes, for sure you will need to speak portuguesse if you want to be a serious candidate for a brazilian company. It will get you some months to become familiar with the portuguesse, but nothing longer than that. Pilots here uses to comunicate in portuguesse, only foreigners speaks in english with ATC´s.
Any doubt I can help.

Good evening gentleman, my apologies if it had already been asked..but I have searched the forum for answers and could not find it!I have recently finished my training here in Europe and I am seriously considering moving to Brazil.Have read everything that is available as far as qol,and the few opportunities available.I am eligible to work there now,and the deal(and my question) is,how long will,or normaly takes to get the JAA license validated?I've found links on what has to be done and where but very little on how long it takes??Also what's the deal with the ICAO english test, why doesnt Anac accept the candidate's existing certificate?
Before you ask,I'm low houred from top UK school, got MCC and jet t course B737,and do speak portuguese to a good level!any info would be greatly appreciated
