Copa

I don't know about that, I hear the New Batman 6 will have incest, winging and moaning, and a whole lot of baloney stories to end in a manner and fashion, even the most seasoned movie watcher, would not expect. I for one would wait for the cheap seats though

Cheers

That $100,00/yr is purely theoretical and absolutely will NOT happen. Plus you have to take into account the high tax rate that Panama will impose upon your earnings. I'd say more likely you'll make approximately $85,000/yr before taxes.

Get your 500-1000 PIC in the NG and go to China for the big bucks.

And so as I'm watching I totally agree with Bukkake haha. The scriptwiter forgot to say working on all your days off as legally possible would yield it. Lets say, 7 days off minus 3 i guess it does equal 4 days off a month. Gosh you would think Nick Simon is directing The Game 2....

What would you like an answer to?

Here are some answers to common questions:

- They are not hiring expat FO's (except maybe from Spain).
- You will never hear back from anyone in HR if you apply online.
- The money is not very good.
- You only get 7 days OFF per month (not consecutive).
- Travel benefits are pretty much non-existant.
- You pay for your own uniforms
- You pay for your own medical exam
- Panama is expensive
- You CANNOT get a FAA 737 type rating from the COPA training.
- Never pay more than $100 for a girl at Habano's

BUKKAKE

Bwahahahaha. Plenty of hoes in Panama for sure. Habanos girls dont do anal, and are terrible in bed. Not even worth a hundred bucks unless you are an old man and have no game. Gotta get some regulars. And yes you are correct on everything else. Dont worry, many more will contine to come here. Just another case of SJS shiny jet syndrome.

Hi I'm a european FO with 1500TT and 900hrs on B737-NG. I'm currently employed, not very happy though with my Terms and Conditions. Would it be a good idea to try Copa? What Kind of salary could I expect over there?

Did you read anything that was already posted in this thread (18 pages worth now)?

If you are not happy with your current T&C's, then you certainly won't like these either.

Bukkake

It just proves either how desperate people are for work, than I understand you gotta eat. It also proves how stupid pilots are, like the ones that are currently working. Its gonna be 50 pages of bull****. Lets go to La Rama Dorada for some cheap drinks and no hookers. Good mojitos there!

1) No more housing allowance for new guys in the new contract.

2) On day one at Costa Del Este (Copa HQ) you will be presented with a lovely packet of documents. One of them will be a training loan/bond/contract for something like $18,000 re-payable over a two year period.

DO NOT SIGN IT!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, you really want to work here?

Yes, no housing allowance for anyone hired under the new contract.

But, it doesn't matter, because housing is so cheap in Panama. You can get a great/affordable apartment in Curundu with the big bucks COPA pays.

I should have found a place in Chanis. All of the time I have spent doing circles in the recojo throughout Chanis, it would have made sense.

And speaking of the recojo; if you want to prepare for your COPA career, one helpful thing you can do is the following:

First, stay up all night (no sleep whatsoever) Second, find a swivel chair and replace the cushioning with a wooden plank. Next, sit in the chair and have someone spin you round and round for 3 hours. While they are spinning you, have them jolt the chair violently every so often. This will simulate the nearly constant "almost crashes" you will witness in real life. For extra credit, you will want your assistant to honk a car horn randomly. Finally have your assistant kick you in the nuts as hard as possible.

Welcome to Copa!
