Panama is expensive and the pilots will never get a pay raise. Flight attendants will continue to share rooms also. Why waste your time complaining about the ****. If you just feel like you want to fly than do it, but dont expect anything else. Lots of good cooked food and ice cream in the airplane though

Just for reference, I flew 98.5 hours in April 4 days off, my paycheck was $8500 net. for the two paychecks may 15th $7000 and the usual $1500 for the 30th. So if you work you ass off, you can make some cash.
This does not include the new pay, I guess it will come later.

Why you don't telling to people the truth ah? That you been flaying on your days off, especially when pilots were sticking together to not do that, to put pressure on a company for better deal during negotiation.
because pilots like a peteroja been flaying on their days off
we've got so ****ty increment. Shame that we have such a captain.
For the Reference
I flew 84 hours in April , my paycheck was $6400 net. for the two paychecks may 15th $4900 and the usual $1500 for the 30th

If you are successful, Copa will email you after they finish contacting your references. This may take 1 week or it can take 2 months if you didn't provide them with good contact information.

Hi Inmigrant, in those figures is housing included?
Is it true that the new agreement is a good deal for local pilots but not so good for foreigners ?
I just keep hearing things but none of them are reliable.
Any light on the subject anyone?

Hi Snoklo
in those figures is housing included?
-Not
Is it true that the new agreement is a good deal for local pilots but not so good for foreigners ?
-Decide yourself :
2012
Local - +1251 to old deal
Foreigners - +1051 to old deal
-------------------------------
deference 200$ on locals side
Foreigners have 800$ hosing, so
deference 600$ on foreigners side
=============================
By 2015
Local - 1,896
Foreigners - 1,971 ( included 800$ housing)
====================================
Salary with 80 hrs block time
2012
Local - 7823$
Foreigners -8423$ (incl housing)
2015
Local - 8708$
Foreigners- 8783$ (incl housing)
====================
Of course taxes need to be applied
Hope this clears any doubts for any seekers

Peter and Immigrant haha. I love to see drama on the board and probably know who you guys are. first off, if you are from latin america, yes you will alays work on your day off because you think that extra 25 dollars they pay you on your day off is like real moey on your already 7 days off given. Come on seriously. Yes, the operation is pretty smoothie but thats because an airline business is relatively new in the area. Give it time and let it mature a little bit and it will fall ****ty, not even gonna talk about the pay, just like all the airlines in the states. Man it is what it is. There is no unity in the pilot group, so nothing will ever get done. Everyone is scared to speak out because everyone who does gets suspended, hanging out in their apartments for months, ignored, and finally fired. same ****. Just another story of narcissist run organization castelling themselves in wealth because the people just dont have the education, knowledge, and experience (unity) to get anything they need here. Notice i didnt even use the word deserve. Put the gringos, i mean the retired guys and scabs that are currently on property, hey these guys are all experienced negotiators, in the negotiating committe and watch this place become a goldmine for desirable airlines to work. The jews aka richest family in panama running this place know better than to lower the fence and this will never happen. quit complaining so in the meanwhile just come here see some new places and work with some really nice people if you want. Clean airplanes, and fun approaches. Stop trying to interrogate and dig apart the pay raise. You will make 4 grand a month for no less than the first 6 months because thats how long training takes for everyone. And after that yes 5 to 6500 a month with your regular full time schedule of 90 hours and thats it. some bonuses which are around 10 grand a year, and it is still 7 days off a month only. It has been posted several times already, there is no pay raise, and if there is, though i have seen already 20 proposals, it is still not even 10 grand taxable a month after taking the housing allowances away and something about now 4 days off a month. Move on to the next topic already, you guys are like bitches in a hair salon talking the same ish over and over

Thankx you for your answer Immigrant. Now everything is much more clear
Still 2 more questions:
A friend of mine attended a job fair and he was told that the 800$ housing is paid only during the first 2 years. Any change about that? If not, then the salary is lower for foreigners after 2 years if I am not wrong.
Are the taxes high in Panama? If 8423$ is gross how much is net?
Thank you for your useful info.

-The last email of company stated that all new juniors will be on local contracts,
but things are changing here all the time.

$6400 net from 7900$ bruto

If you have a problem with me why don't you say it to my face?
To bad that UMPAC did not inform the pilot group, So sad that the pilot group voted against the proposed contract and UMPAC ignored the vote and sign the deal.
Why? becasue of pilots like you that only bitch in the crew room and dont have the guts to do anything about it.
Why dont you go and F--k your self. Cry baby
