A bunch of DEC's have bailed in recent months! No pay raise as promised, a lot of BS to put up with.

Now that is really a dumb comment,

I fly the line here as B 737 Capt, I enjoy the people, F/A's are great,a very smoothly run airline, no MELs everything is fixed at once, clean airplanes. As soon as you pull into the gate you have a cleaning team meeting you, it is great. dispatch is good, if I want more fuel they give me more, however I dont have to ask, they tend to put on to much.

The training is not the best but once you are done, life is great, Pay is what it is, I am not happy with it, but I dont want to go to India or Dubai either. so it is what it is, if ther is a not a substantial pay increase people will be looking elsewere. Emloyees in general seems to be happy with good attitude. Management seems to make this work, loads are good.

The check is in the mail........

Has Copa been hiring any expat FO's lately or are there enough local guys. I have well more then the requirements on their website 2500TT with 700jet on the RJ. Been applying for a bit but haven't heard back. I have very little Spanish but would love to learn!

YOu better have good recomendations from you LAST JOB. They will be verified. To many fraudulent letters, each individual will be called. Prefered Chief Pilots etc.

what are the chances if you dont present this letters, or if they are not from the chief pilot?? i cant get one from him
I can confirm them being in the Atlanta job Fair, im currently working in the US as a CFII and im gonna go to that fair... it will be tough though to get those letters.

Qatar Airways will not be attending the job fair. Hopefully they will be able to attend our next event in Orlando on May 19th.

Let's say that you are CEO at an airline and you have an endless supply of very experienced regional pilots willing to work for less than what they were making as a senior regional captain to go get the ticket and time on the 73, why would you even consider raising the salaries? So people stay and you would have to pay senior wages? Nah! These folks will ride the wave of cheap foreign labor for as long as they can

Well said Dominican.

The first goal of all airlines is to make the more profit.

It seems that UNPAC (the pilot union of Panama) is more interested in their baseball team and selling car polish than actually negotiating. As a matter of fact, negotiations here are called "reunions."

According to the official party line, taken straight from their website, it looks as if there will be no pay raise and a loss of days off.

What a joke...

$419/month for CA?

60% of what for FO's?
