Pilots be carefull !!
Im not sure if DAE is a clean company...(Im sorry DAE, but you can reply if you like to tell the truth...)
Lets start with passenger ticket prices... that is were DAE seem to have it source of income or am I not complete here? Maybe a little mail/cargo here and there... Or do you chew on a pilot-payed-rating a bit?
Now lets add up just the cost off the salery's of the pilots and flightattendants...
EJ thats funny... you can't even cover crew salery's with pax tickets??
So who pays for the aircrafts? Who pays the fuel, landing fee's and maintenance?Who pays for the office, office personell.....
COME ON... tell me tell me....
I would love to come and fly for you....so I hope you can clarify a few money issues....
Must be great living on a Caribbean island...

yeah south, I am curious to that as well, everybody has their doubts/questions about this company, but is your information founded on facts or hearsay, rumours etc.?? (don't get me wrong, I don't know anything about the company so it is not an attack to you, just a question to get more details, but I would like them to be based on facts, not rumours or personal opinions for whatever reason)

Be Careful
A company in Majorca several years ago started up and "recruited" 12 disciples! They were a little wet behind the ears but apparently all paid around 15000 euros to the company to type rate them on the Shorts SD3-60 which was supposed to carry freight between Majorca and Madrid. the Chief Pilot was a Spaniard, whose name eludes me right now however, he people skills were non existent and when it came to rules and regulations he knew only "Que?".
Some expat crews, myself amongs them, were recruited as a stop gap to start the operation and to my knowledge these poor guys who bankrolled the operation never did get any training much less a type rating. The aircraft was leased and the owner probaby never got paid, the engineer is still owed money and so are others I am told.
You young guys out there please be careful before you part with any of your hard earned money. Tell them you want to SEE the product before you BUY.
I heard there was a company trying to set up in Aruba with Short SD3-60 aircraft, Tiara Air i think.
Anyone know about them?
Best of luck.

OK, keep your money in your pockets 'cause it does stink in Bonaire. Just check who the investers are and were in the exel-days..... not much has changed and their machine keeps on washing and their laundry keeps on spinning around (any idea why??? **ding**ding** Wake up!!)
The operation is mediocer, and management-style is still the same as in the early days.(only new managers came in but nothing really changed)
A jet? yeah that will be the day that you can start counting for 90 days before the payments have to be made and the plug will be pulled out of DAE.(oh wait, all of the sudden another 10 million pops up out of nowhere.)
Guys for real, swing by there if you are type rated and want some fun in the sun. If you like, stay for 3 years (doubt you will though) but just keep your money in your pockets, do your homework (even on this web-site from the Exel-days) and you'll be looking for another company very quickly.
Good luck with the training on the F-100 , 737 ,space shuttle, or whatever they wish to use. I just hope it is worth it for you all, and that a brighter future lies ahead!
