Complaint against a female West Jet Captain

Complaint against a female West Jet Captain
In the CBC today (on line version) is a story about a passenger who complained to female West Jet Captain that she had no business flying an airplane (quoted scripture no less) but should be at home raising children.
What a complete and total moron! I am surprised West Jet has not come onside and defends the Captain who had this vile bigoted comment tossed at her.
No wonder some of the problems of the world can be traced to incomplete religious interpretation to justify dogma!

Aislinn,
To answer your question where religion fits into this argument: it doesn't.
A330pilot didn't bring religion into this argument - the pax who scribbled his confused thoughts on a napkin did. I can't see how that makes a330pilot a bigot, he simply observed, described and commented on what happened.
That pax is probably an attention seeker with various mental issues. His religious views may well be part of his problems.

AISLINN, Im darned if I can see where A330 pilot brought religion in, he simply reported the known facts about this stupid note. "Methinks thou dost protest too much", Or, if the shoe fits, wear it!

Readers should note that being able to claim that kind of discrimination is akin to obtaining a free Ph.d and bragging rights at the Canadian Man Hater's Association.
In the same week, a feminist raver got her name in the paper after apparently setting up five guys who chatted privately about what they would like to do to her... now, she was then sent, their private and confidential chats, and SHE made it public.
Any company can claim one of it's female employees is getting abused and suddenly get a pile of free publicity , that puts it on the right side of political correctness.
Now, I've got not bias against gays, lesbians but I've seen a hell of a number of men, who are destroyed by feminist rants.
The female Westjet captain should have ignored the letter
as that of a nutbar.
Makes you wonder what motivated her, to suddenly share wit
the entire world, that one day she actually got a letter from a nut.
Out of 6 females I've flow with, I'd put half of them into the nut category
especially at about 3 days before the end of the month when they would have been better off taking some time off, every month.
That's the realities of life and just because a female becomes a pilot
does not mean that her biology changes every time she goes flying.

And we wonder why she took the story public ... I've flown with many more males who were "bitchy" than females. Maybe it was their biology that was messed up.

RamJet555,
I could just as easily claim that I've flown with over 50 guys, and I'd put half of them in the nut-house. I've also flown with 10 women, about half of whom I would throw in the nut-house - I don't see the point. I would strongly argue that men have a harder time dealing with a womans' "monthly friend" than the women do themselves...
However, I agree that this WJ pilot should have let sleeping dogs lie, and left this out of the public eye. I bet there is a very good reason why WJ is not coming to her defence (at least, not that I've seen as I write the post) and I would hazard them against doing so for all those reasons you bring up.

On a side note, she didn't exactly "go public" with the note. She put it on her Facebook page and her friends shared it, eventually leading to it going viral.
Same old story really. First I saw of this was when a female friend shared it from the original source so please don't label the woman as a raver or whatever.

I don't know the context of that WestJet response, but taken as read, that's shocking.
If I was Robert Palmer I wouldn't have validated the scrawled note (or the photo of same going viral) with any response, except one of unconditional support for the flight crew.
