Adding TR on FAA & TC ATPL.
Hello,
I just had a Challenger 300 ICAO Type Rating, and I would like to add this TR on my FAA ATPL and Transport Canada ATPL. How should I do it ? Thanks

For the Canadian one, it's fairly simple and can be done by mail.
You need to meet the requirements outlined in CAR 421.40(3)(a):
1) a minimum of 250 hours pilot flight time on aeroplanes
and
2) either
a pilot proficiency check conducted in accordance with Part VII of the Canadian Aviation Regulations for that aeroplane type within the 12 months preceding the application for the rating
or
a pilot proficiency check acceptable to the Minister for that aeroplane type within 12 months preceding the application for the rating .
Obviously if you have an ATPL, requirement 1 is easy.
To prove Option 2 you need to include a copy of the check ride report, and some sort of proof that the person conducting the check ride was authorized to do so (if you delve further into the CARs - 421.40(6) - there is more info about TRs on foreign licenses.) If you provide paperwork from Flight Safety or equivalent training outfit, that should suffice...

and include with the application a cheque for the fee (I think you can also likely pay over the phone with credit card, I believe it's still $35) and of course, your supporting documents.
My experience is adding a TR obtained at Flight Safety from my FAA license to my TC one, so perhaps it was simple solely because of that... worst case, give TC a call and hopefully someone can help you out.
(For adding the TR to an FAA license, I think you have to do it in person at a FSDO, but my info is a couple of years old.)
