Canadian CPL validity
Hi Guys / Gals ,
Would like to know the validity of a Canadian CPL licence if any . Most other country's Commercial Pilot licence has a date of issue and date of expiry . Would like to know if Canadian licence has one too .If its valid for lifetime , can i get info regarding the same in a written statement from the Transport Canada website . Plz provide the link . Any info wud be appreciated ...

CPL Validity
The CPL is `kept valid with 1) A medical, every year for those under 40 and every 6 months for those over 40 2) there is a requirement for some flying as well.
Flying in another country will accomplish the flying . A medical must be done by a TC or other approved medical examiner. Transport will have a list of those approved in countries other than Canada.

Validity for the licence itself has been posted above. If you have one of the new photo licences then you have to renew it (the photo) every 5 years.
The vintage blue piece of paper is valid for as long as it is legible as far as I know...

According to the information given at the link below, the old paper licenses are no longer valid. Every licensed pilot needs to have the new booklet to exercise their privileges.
