Cassa Crash, CYXE
Sad news, a Fugro operated Cassa has crashed in Saskatoon, one dead, two injured. It sounds like they lost an engine and with all that survey gear hanging on the airframe it didnt want to stay flying, a good company with very well trained pilots, it can happen to the best.

Sad for the crew, sad for Fugro....
I parked beside this aircraft, and chatted with the crew at the time, just about exactly a year ago, in Thunder Bay.
I will watch with interest, for the report.
Let's tread lightly on references to reduced performance. Remember that this aircraft had flown for years quite safely, and was flying under the authority of an approval of the survey installation. During the testing for that approval, demonstration of the minimum performance requirements for flight would have been made. The aircraft would have been different to fly, but still safe and compliant....
