Delta JFK/SNN - Smoke in cabin - Feb 28th
Delta 122 JFK/SNN - Smoke in cabin
Had some friends on that Delta flight on Saturday who were quite alarmed when the flight had to turn around and divert to Gander. There was supposed to have been smoke in the cabin and cockpit. Took 65mins to get to Gander. All were instructed to put on lifejackets!
Landed in Shannon about 11 hours late.
Is it the Canada Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) who investigate this matter?

The aircraft descended from 39,000 ft. to 9,500 ft and proceeded direct to Gander. At 07:04Z, the aircraft requested all available Emergency Services for arrival at Gander. At 07:32Z, aircraft advised that the situation had stabilized. The aircraft landed safely in Gander at 08:04Z.
