747SP 'Global Peace Ambassador' Biz Jet

What's the real story behind the 747SP 'Global Peace Ambassador' that jumped over from US to Thunder Bay, ON last week? Locals claim crew all laid off unpaid and aircraft, apparently owned by some US based evangelical Christian sect, was fleeing seizure in US following non complaince with AD and withdrawal of FAA permit to fly.

A/C now sitting forlornly abandoned on CYQT apron (surface apparently only rated for A320 / 737s).

I do know that A310's used to go in there. The SP may be ok if it is empty.

Is that the same 747 that sat for a while in KMDT a few years back?

pretty interesting reading. Answers the question, "if only the a/c could talk". I recall seeing the a/c in Harrisberg when I was picking up another a/c, and hearing the story, thinking it was a little ambitious in getting it back in the air. Apparantly so,...
