Marcstar:
In your dreams you might be a star but I doubt to others. You must have worked in the office as your grammar is the worst I have seen on this thread as is your logic but it is good to see that peanutnob has at least one friend in LHR because I think he needs one |
You crossed the line
I just won't sit there and take lie after lie
Lower Why didn't you post my PM responce to you ? Happy to dig up the FAAA document showing support for the LHR base. Give me a day or two going on a trip today. It was at the same time they reversed there accured no seniority for LHR base while on LWOP. Now Aus crew have senioity, does that ring a bell, what about no access to LHR for Aus crew then one flight a day was neg., ring a few more bells. And another diflection of the $1000 challenge, no takers Lets agree to disagree and stop boring everybody to death. It's fulltime till we can have a full year to debate !! are you happy with that ? |
LHR coverage
It’s official, LHR based cabin crew are not permitted to work beyond 190 hours per bid period when crewing Australian registered aircraft out of the UK. Hence 3 Thai based crew have been removed from Australian based Frankfurt patterns. They will now operate 5 day standby patterns out of LHR. If you would like confirmation of this simply check Sydney based crew operating patterns for Bid Period 240. This is a win win situation for all crews, so everybody just relax and think about that before replying to this thread.
Have a nice day. |
Peanut,
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you called me a liar. You stated on several posts that FAAA "unconditionally " supports the LHR base, and I have asked you to show me where. So show me, Im waiting. as they say, bring it on! |
Husband and wife team on the QF32 today hey Peanut.
Just noticed there's a lazy 18 crew operating on the QF2 today down to BBK including 11 Thai based crew! Struth, where do you all sit and who does what?? I assume there will be plenty of customer satisfaction surveys being handed out on that flight. |
Here you go little fella
Access to London flights
Qantas has reached an ‘Agreement in Principle’ with the FAAA Long Haul Division in relation to EBA VII and the London Base. One of the agreed terms of EBA VII includes providing access to one London flight per day to Australian based cabin crew. Flights will not be cross-crewed and you will still fly to Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong (in addition to European charters) as originally planned. It just means the base will be smaller with approximately 370 cabin crew. Seniority As part of the agreement reached between Qantas and the FAAA International Division we have been advised that seniority will accrue for any crew member who takes up the opportunity to work for Qantas Cabin Crew (UK) Limited. Therefore, we can confirm that both Short Haul and Long Haul crew who accept a position with Qantas Cabin Crew (UK) Limited will continue to accrue seniority while they are on Leave Without Pay from Qantas Airways Limited There it is little fella And I "bring it" It's an agreement, it agree's to the LHR base and thus supports it. Would you like the whole 36 page EBA ? :Reference QF cew website |
I agree
"I agree"said the man with a loaded gun pressed to his head.
|
oh peanut,,,,,, how sad you have become.
you said that it was in our EBA and that FAAA stated that it "unconditionally " supports LHR base, I didnt see that word in there, actuallly there is no support at all, It simply stated AUS crew have access to LHR. NO support or approval there, not only that, the document you pasted was from QF website , those passages are not from our EBA document, another of you lies! You see, unlike you- I know the difference between the EBA and propoganda that is pasted on the QF crew website Im still waiting to see the word "unconditionally" or support for the LHR Base. WAITING WAITING WAITING..... |
It's an agreement
It's an agreement look up "agreement" in the dictionary, and I will dig up the EBA paragraph in relation to LHR base.
The FAAA Int. Agreeed in principle for the EBA sign off that the LHR base has there endorsment. Tell me what the worlds mean then "Qantas has reached an ‘Agreement in Principle’ with the FAAA Long Haul Division in relation to EBA VII and the London Base. One of the agreed terms of EBA VII includes providing access to one London flight per day to Australian based cabin crew" Explain to me an agreement is not an endorsment in relation to the EBA EBA word for word from FAAA website Only condition is a massive 870 o/s crew Sorry not unconditionally but one condition only 12 OVERSEAS BASES 12.1 This clause replaces Clause 17 of EBA VI, that in turn replaced clause 68 of EBA IV and Clause 23 of EBA V. 12.2 In the event that Qantas Airways Limited decides to open additional overseas base(s) with Long Haul cabin crew, the Company will consult with the Association 3 months prior to opening the base. 12.3 For the life of this Agreement, the Company commits to ensuring that the number of crew employed in overseas bases will be no more than 870 FTE including crew employed in the category of Customer Service Manager and Customer Service Supervisor in the London base. 13 ALLOCATION OF AUSTRALIAN BASED LONG HAUL CREW TO THE LONDON ROUTE In the context of Qantas flights being crewed from overseas bases, for the life of this Agreement, Australian based long haul crew will, on a planned basis: • have access to the Australia London route for the period of the phased start up of the London base to more than seven flights per week; and • have exclusive access to the Australia London route to six flights per week for the period July to October 2005, increasing to no less than seven flights per week from November 2005. |
where is the word "unconditionally"
where does it state that it "supports" the base WHERE? they are your words not mine! back it up! Back it up! here is you post, just to jog your memory *******Another unfactual lie from the hate crew Read your current EBA, its in black and white, the FAAA give unconditional support to the LHR base and got the consession access to LHR for Aus crew and a reduction in LHR base numbers. Its on the FAAA website, I can post the link and page number if you wish.****** that is from your post PP.... waiting for you to send me the link |
Unconditional in context to not blocking or taking industrial action and eventually accomadating it in the EBA and supporting crew who have gone to LHR by removing the "no seniority clause".
But I do take your point, I will be much more carefull about the word "unconditionally". For the record I wish to withdraw the word "unconditionally" and replace it with "one condition only" Now what about the $1000 challenge and all the other questions I never get answers to like "The great SIN jacket swindle" I await your answer |
LHR Standby
So many LHR crew report sick on weekends that BKK crew are paxed up to do 5 day standbys to cover the sick leave.
Thats the (Qantas)Spirit...love your work but not if it interferes with your social life.Six months into flying and sick leave is being abused already. |
Bad Adventures
It’s official, LHR based cabin crew are not permitted to work beyond 190 hours per bid period when crewing Australian registered aircraft out of the UK Dont know where you get your information from.My roster is currently projected to 215 hrs.Your information is wrong. My friend is projected to 252,at her request as she wanted additional hours.Mine is just what I have been rostered.Your information is wrong. As far as any of us can tell (and we are looking the laws here) only apply to UK registered aircraft, not Oz ones. Also the limits stated in the UK regulations are per month, not per roster, and they are flying hours, not duty hours. |
Thanks Cart
It never was official, just wanted finally, to get a straight answer on the matter and I know you always put forward factual information with regards to the base. Don't know about this friend of yours doing over 250 hours in a roster though. If that is true it is ludicrous and shows the that QF UK have no regard for peoples well being or OH & S as that is just an accident waiting to happen. I guess with the rampant sick leave occurring they need people to do more hours. Although giving people those kinds of hours is just going to compound the situation because that person will undoubtedly just get sick as well. The company has just stationed the Thai crew up there for another 2 months (that is official because they have been taken off Sydney based Frankfurt patterns). Perhaps you can give us a run down on how everything is going up there, are people happy? What is the story with sick leave? If the Thai crew are up there just to cover new recruitment, why are they now there now for a further 2 months? |
Let's face it,we will never get a rational response from either jetstar or peanutnob bin laden over there in romper room.
It is an exercise in futility.!!!! So let's start another topic before I fall asleep reading peanutnob bin ladens diatribe. THE JFK UPCOMING DISPENSATION VOTE... What are your thoughts??? |
Tell them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.
I'm mean really!!!!!! This is a sector that of late has been already been extending for various reasons to 16, 17 and 18 hours and it isn't even winter yet!! Time zone difference mean that many if not most cabin are getting no more than 1 to 3 hours sleep before embarking on this bull!!!! sector!!!! The US carriers themselves DONT subject there own cabin crew to this sort of abuse because as a MULTI SECTOR it is totally INHUMANE. As for the safety aspect of having 15 OPERATING cabin crew so fatigued that they want to vomit???????? How would the Air France cabin crew have performed the other day if landing under these fatigue conditions I wonder????? It would seem already that QF know what will happen as they are training the KIWI crew en masse to B First level. No pesky award restrictions prevent QF from abusing the health and welfare of our "trans tasman friends". Does anyone know if QF can rubber stamp the Kiwis into the CSM/CSS role.......? Qantas- "The Spirit of F@#king Your Staff In Order To Secure Your Performance Bonus [and to hell with the company]". |
Ofs Shore CSS CSM
They may not be able to use Kiwi base crew, but what about LHR base CSMs or CSSs?
|
Don't know about the CSS/CSM role either.
Maybe they will use the Thais that they gave the "crash course in CSM role" training course last year. Sawadeecaaaaaa --------------- I thought I would get in before the QF paid spin doctors do by posting a link to another US based forum with discussion about the LAX-JFK-LAX sector. See what our collegues at other carriers feel about the abuse we are being subjected to............. :yuk: :yuk: :yuk: http://www.airlinecrew.net/ubbthread...r=159158&page= Confirmation that NO other carrier does this to it's crew. Jettlager |
Interesting link Jettlager.
The BA FA Bob Brown sums it up perfectly- Quote "ouch'hasnt slave labour been abolished?I'll never complain about about any of our trips again!FLY SAFE BB" When will be free of the sickness that is the current QF management???? |
"SYDNEY - Qantas Airways will slash nearly 200 management jobs by September in a three-year cost-cutting plan that remains on track to exceed A$1.5 billion ($1.65 billion) by June next year."
Ah, the visitors...............................dust.......? |
