This wait after the medicals is really long. I wish the process was faster. You are leaving a week before me...so I have more than a month to go.

of course i want to go to tha interview, i'm sure thatt will be ok:) ,
the problem is that curently i'm working for a big moblie comunications compay, we have a thight schedule (we have 2 days of every week) whith a litel bit of luck i can join 2 days from a on week and 2 form the next in order to get for days off, but a thik 4 are not enought since i have to travel from bucharest to athena and back.

and there is no way to pretend sick:=
you have to visit the compay doctor in order do get a day off, if i lie i could lose my job:uhoh:

i realy dont know what to do, :{
just hope that i wil find a solution until the end of the week...i hope that they will come in romania ore somewhere closer, ......

some have to quit jobs, etc...is it one month?

They let you postpone your trip incase your notice period is more.

I got a reply around 6 weeks after the interview and they wanted me to be in Dubai in 6 days. I told them there was no way i could make it as I have to resign from my present job, move all my stuff to my home country and do all the bloody paperwork they require. Try to extend as much as you can. They won't reject you. If anything say you got 1 month notice at your present job. Try to have a couple of relaxing days before you come over cause once you get to Dubai its full on for 6 weeks with the training exams and a lot of studying. If you fail you have to repeat the week. So don't come to Dubai in a rush cause you'll have a breakdown by the end of the 6 weeks!!!

Vaccinations
 

Hey guys,

I am doing my medicals and cant seem to be able to get the Typhoid vaccination here as all the clinics say its just not available right now. On the form, there is a place where you can explain why you didnt get it and then you get it in Dubai, but will they look poorly on this? Should I try to look at other places in Brazil to get the vaccination? Is it worth it??

That won't be a problem. Whatever you have missing you can have it in the Emirates Clinic, just as long as you have your negative HIV test with you, otherwise you won't be able to get a UAE resident visa. This is a requirement by the govt for anyone that wants to live and work in the UAE. Try to get as much stuff done as you can so life will be easier once you get here. A vaccine or 2 won't make you look bad if its not available there's nothing you can do. Don't worry too much you'll be ok and make sure you relax and be in top form for when you get here cause there will be 6 stressful weeks to deal with once you get here.

I would advice you to make all the vaccinations, as I did. And as Evita said, it will be better for us...as we will be busy most of the time.;)
And I guess, it will be cheaper. I made Thypoid, and as far as I know it'd expired in 5 years. Good luck, dear!

I'm so happy!

Just got my LAST APPROVAL on my application!!! I'm flying on 29th Sept.! :O I will get my e-ticket and e-visa 4 days before my departure for Dubai. As it says, they will let me know about my accomadation- once I reach Dubai. So, Popins, I'm not sure where we gonna stay, dear.:rolleyes:

Im new to this site. I went to the open day at Auckland on 19th Aug and got through to the final interview..just waiting for the call..Is any one here who made it through to the final????!!!! Have you got the call it????
Do they usually call your land line or mobile??? Please help me ^^;;

Congratulations:D So they have given you nearly 26 days notice which is good enough. You must be so excited. Let us know when you get the contract.

Of coz I remember you, Ive added you on my msn but you hardly online. It's glad to hear from you,too..guess Im not the only one who is goin crazy of waiting "the call"...my cell phone is being around with me 24/7, even in the shower =.=;; hehe..
It's only been like 2 weeks since the final interview, I think its gonna take them a while to decide..sending all the paper works takes at least 7days from NZ to dubai...just be patient ( thats what i remind my self every day)

I hv been reading this thread for a while but just registered...just wana say thanks to evryone for all the information...i am a ek cc wannabe as wel...
i went to the open day here in auckland on june 17th... had my final interview on 21st june...
and den on 27th june got a call from the recruitment office in dubai and was asked to get new full length photos done and also passport ones...i did and sent them on 5th july... i went on holidays to fiji on 8th july and i had mentioned that in the letter which i sent with the pictures and also given my contact details in fiji if they needed to contact but noone called..
so wen i was back from fiji it was already six weeks after my final interview and i thought i wud call and ask wat was goin on so i did in august and after talking to 3 ladies i found that they had not received my pictures which i sent them six weeks ago...i said i'll send them again but they were like wait for a couple of days we will contact you...i waited for a week they didnt call me so i called again and after telling the same thing to 2 ppl i was transfered to the third person who wasnt available so i had to leave a message on the fone...but didnt get called back..
just last tuesday i got a call and they said they have rec my pics but can i get them done again coz they want me smiling with my teeth showing so i am getting that done and will send them this week...hope these peictures reach them quickly and i dont have get anymore pics done....
but i am just so excited that i have reached so far and i'll wait patiently however long it takes...
just wana say congratulations to all of u's who are goin to dubai and best of luck to those who are applying...

That's cool. What is your joining date? I think we submited our medicals around the same time...30th Aug. I still have to hear back from them. Hopefully anyday now.

Yeah, i submitted last Friday and had a reply on Sunday via email.
I will be joining on the 22 September. Are you joining later in Oct , so i reckon it takes a while more.

Did you send an email to them to inform that your medical was already faxed.

Your wings are ready to fly to Dubai, i am sure.:p
