Ahhh, Barry. Spoken like a true blue blunt! Don't get cold out there in your anorak on ya step-ladder with ya little scanner in ya pocket!!!

So the rotor-headed get to spend hours with their hands on it, hey??? And this appeals to the ladies in what way???? I guess that's what happens when you fly all on your own for too long....

Oh well, you heli-guys enjoy yourselves and all that "practice".... I'm going down the hall for a ...... "beer".

Rachie 7th Feb 2005 16:34

no... I like the non pilot (or anything else remotely related to the industry) I have now too much

ramsfanone 7th Feb 2005 16:54

I can't believe the (not-very) original question was asked in the first place!
What's so different about pilots that sets them apart from any other bloke?
I would go out with whomever I was attracted to (provided the sights of me didn't make him puke - hahahaha), regardless of how he earned his wages.

Can't make tea BYlady but would a bottle of water do?:ouch:

I'll get my coat.

Funnily enough a friend of mine is the daughter of a retired 747 captain. She recently admitted she was never attracted to pilots because of the hours they work. Her replies to all the "Wow, so your father is/was a 747 captain" was met with equal sceptism. Turns out she was jealous of all her friends dads when she was growing up cause they worked regular hours and came home for tea. At one stage she wanted to be a pilot but when she saw the stresses of the job her father was subject to she changed her mind, none of her large family became pilots or are even remotely involved with aviation. Wonder what that says. I find that attitude common among pilots children from the bit I've experienced.

As far myself couldn't care less about their high flying occupation though I believe pilots marriages eh haven't got the best record for success by far. If the're a nice person that's what matters, mind you I wouldn't exactly be attracted to a bin man so I suppose occupation does matter to an extent. :\

I apologise without reservation for my previous comments to all rotary pilots, who are, sine qua non exceptional human beings of outstanding sexual prowess and desirability.

To whoever operates the brace of attack choppers that have been shadowing me all day - Is this good enough? So can you stop it now?
Please...

What about other crew?

As a single straight guy about to join a large international carrier, I am a little giddy at my prospects as there will be about a 5-1 ratio of women in the crew. To female Cabin Crew only date successful pilots and first-class passengers or to the male crew members get some attention too?

jetjockey737 8th Feb 2005 10:05

As usual the pilots completely try and take over a thread...my penis is bigger than yours etc etc etc!!!!Typical!

I am living with a female cabin attendant and she is great, we have a wonderful relationship and long may it continue!! I am not with her because she is CC and she is not with me because I am a pilot, we are with each other because we love each other. The job just brought us together.

She does look great in her uniform though!!!!:ok:

I've been out with myself a while now and can say it's been great .. I'm thinking of taking it to the next level soon in terms of commitment

Jinkster 11th Feb 2005 21:14

Ground examinations all completed, CPL skill test completed and trying to get through the IR - not having much luck with weather, aircraft and availability of CAA examiners!

How are you getting along?

Planejane69, offer still stands :D

Sir Jinkster

HandspringGuy 13th Feb 2005 23:49

Little Miss 17th Feb 2005 12:10

Never felt I could trust them.

Maybe I m picking the wrong ones!!!

planejane69 17th Feb 2005 18:44

Little Miss
The odds of picking the "right ones" are probably something like 3x10 to t power 6 - 1 !! Any way think all 4 of them are happily married now!
Still pondering over the student pilots, definately an option. Need to be a slightly mature student pilot tho!
Something wrong there....?.........?..........................Ah ,...Mature and Pilot in one sentence

Jinkster 17th Feb 2005 18:53

Is 21 nearly 22 mature enough! :p

planejane69 17th Feb 2005 19:19

21 or 22??
would that be innings, age or somekind of measurement??

Jinkster 17th Feb 2005 19:40

Measurement - hah cheeky

No, age! :p
