Asiana 214 Cabin Crew

After going through the few reports of the Asiana Airlines crash I can only say one things - thank God the aircraft was not operated on MINIMUM CREW!!
1- THREE cabin crew were violently ejected on impact after the tail broke up
2- TWO cabin crew were pinned down after 2 slides inflated INSIDE THE CABIN!
The crew were down by 5 (yes five !) before the aircraft had even stopped !

Tribute page?

Someone on the main Asiana thread said a tribute page to these guys and girls had been set up somewhere on the internet.

Anyone have a link?

I will add this one too, BOAC.

Cabin manager Lee Yoon-hye, apparently the last person to leave the burning plane, said crew members deflated the slides with axes to rescue their colleagues, one of whom seemed to be choking beneath the weight of a slide.
A sterling job, by all accounts. Especially as there was no warning of what was about to unfold.

Transport aircraft safety is all about multiple, redundant, independent layers of safety systems. And when everything else fails, cabin crew are the final layer of safety, to save lives. This was my first thought, when I read about the accident and learned that roughly 300 people were alive: at least something worked out as it's supposed to do. Cabin crew first noticed the fire, informed the pilots, fought the fire, and managed to quickly evacuate everyone, despite incapacitated crew members. Last person to leave was CC (apparently the cabin manager), that says it all. Job well done is an understatement.

Thumbs up Professionals

Lets hope all the CC are given appropriate R & R and post traumatic stress counselling after the magnificent job they did, not forgetting that they initiated the evacuation after the "PILOTS" told them to wait. !!

They are all, a credit to their company and the CC community.

As for the Pilots, well the less said at this stage, the better.

Might be redacted now, but I think it was actually more like 6 or 7... it as stated in one of the articles that one or two were knocked out by the impact in addition to the 3 who went out the back and the two under the slides...

It was me who posted about the campagin on Book Face but for some reason even mentioning it was haram... Just a channel for crew to communicate their support, but yes the same info is in the article linked above.

Well done Asiana CC

It is great job done and the crew deserves accolades. A professionally well trained crew with the right attitude, under most dangerous circumstances rose to the occasion, unmindful of their personal safety and saved the lives of 300 pax. What better example can be there?. Kudos to these wonderful crew.
