Mentoring programmes for flight attendants or pilots?
Hello everybody!
I am a master student of HRM and because of my interest in Aviation, I am studying about Mentoring among cabin and cockpit crew members in airlines.
I was wondering if you could tell me which airlines you know that offer formal (official) mentoring programmes for their cabin or cockpit crew? If you know some, would you please give me a link about them?

I understand our mixed fleet crew in BA who are part of FTC, or Future Talent Crew, have a mentoring process. During the year or so to SCCM under the FTC programme, constant '360 degree feedback' is used along with IFAs or inflight assessments to develop the FTC. I'm not sure if there is an official mentor assigned.
For pilots, many airlines running ab-initio training schemes have a mentor pilot assigned to a course. Usually from the associated airline. Again I'm not sure of the exact set-up.

Mentor was a wise man who looked after Odysseus' son while he was off fighting the Trojan wars.
In the UK we use "mentor" to mean something like a wise adviser.
All this and more is available on Google.
Many Co.s use mentors for those seen as having promotion potential. It is not common in Aviation in the UK, but then Aviation has never been at the leading edge of people management.
