ugh, how on earth could a flight attendant possibly let out a sigh.
Arent we flight attendants supposed to 'serve' the customer for 14 hours straight looking perfect and still smiling at the end of it all. And by customer I mean, those lovely people who catch our flights that 'COMMAND & DEMAND' for hours straight without a please or thankyou.
Just because a flight attendant is looking at the floor or his/her hand or out the window, means nothing. He/she is more than likely going through possible scenarios that could occur, ie rejected take off with a fire involved and going through drills for his/her position, which emergency equipment they are going to use and the commands they will be using. So dont assume that flight attendants are doing nothing when they sit on the jump seat. Imaging what sort of panic it would create if a flight attendant sat on their jump seat for take off and starting saying 'evacuate evacuate evacuate'. Hence then that these sort of things are not usually verbalised on the jump seat.
Seasick, please may I suggest next time you approach a crew member and maybe talk to them like a normal human being. We are approachable. And rather than a **** load of speculation, get the facts before hyping up and fabricating a whole heap of.........

Hmmmmm lets see what we have here....
Seasick on a BOM flight complaining about nothing in particular then throwing out the word PREJUDICED before we are even out of the starting blocks.
If I had a shiny dollar for everytime a pax who is from one country but holds a passport to another country
(That country generally being the UK, Canada or the States) pulling out the old racism card every time the crew don't throw themselves at their feet and beg forgiveness over the most minor and innane of complaints.......
I could buy my own freaking airlne.

I will try to be sensible here, not defending the CC nor slagging off the thread starter.
However....
Putting a "smile" on your face 10-12hrs on end IS tough. I always used to say to my crew "please leave your troubles outside the a/c". That's what I've been told in my training, that's what the airline demanded.
But i stopped saying that when i learned that a colleagues' father died whilst she was operating; it was during returning to the base and found out as soon as she switched her mobile on, on turn around. She got off, stand by crew came in.
Weeks later she was back to work, fit to fly after being assessed in accordance to the regulations; but the "occasional sigh" was there, a sadness that cannot be described; a very pleasant cc, hard working and damn good at her job.
Nonetheless... still a human being. That's the whole point of my post; CC are human too you know... we, like everyone else, have problems to deal with on a day to day basis; that smile you see when you come on board is not always genuine; behind it there might be a sadness, a heart breaking news, a lost father, a broken car we have to pay our month's wages to fix.... anything really.
So, in my very humble opinion, this thread is a non starter and irrelevant.
