Hi there Andrew

All the major charter carriers will be wrapping up their recruitment for the summer programs about now, if you're quick you may be able to get an interview.

You're best bet is to get the addresses of some airlines and write to them asking about CC vacancies. Those that are interested will send you an application form and most keep them on file for 6 months.

Cool

Things a bit different over here Roberta...at BA we retire at 55 (although a few, mostly ex-BCAL cabin crew, can go on until 60 due to differing contracts). Also, BA only recruit up until the age of 50 & this has only been in the last 3-4 years. Many others here only recruit cabin crew up to 30 - 40 years old and with Virgin Atlantic you've no chance after you're 28!

Hey Andrew
Actually rather than it being a case of being too late to become a FA, it might be a case of too early for you. Many companies (including Emirates) only start recruiting from age 22 upwards... But that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a go... I know that Easyjet was looking for people, and Virgin are prettty good about sending application forms and are really approcheable re: queries!
Good luck!

hi andrew.
depends where you are but GO at Stansted are
almost permanently recruiting . Also BMed at
Heathrow i thing are currently interviewing.
reply if you need addresses. Both people will take entrants as young as 20. If you get a choice avoid charter as its harder work and often seasonal.

hey andrew.
dont limit yourself to uk. have you tried ireland. aerlingus , ryanair and Cityjet/Airfrance are nearly always recruiting new CC. Money is quite good with some esp if you get based away. and by the way you have plenty of years in you yet.Give it a go. you will enjoy.

Andrew, you are only 20, it is a long time before it will be too late, most airlines now wont look at you until you are at the very least 22.. go for it!

20????? before it's too late??????? LOL!!! That's funny..... I'm 32 and I still haven't decided what to do with my life! Don't sweat it! Back up your application with jobs in the hostpitality field. Hotels, waiter, anything that puts you in contact with people. Do you have another language? If you don't, take a year off from your hectic 20 yr old schedule and go and live somewhere and learn one! Ski fields of some Swiss mountain, teach english in asia, backpack around NZ (they have their own brands of English there, probably not recognised as a real foreign language though!! shame about that...)

I fly as CC since I was 20 ,if you really enjoy all the good thing's and endure the bad one's you'll be in the busines for a long time

Some advice ,go first to the scheduled airlines ,the pay is usually better and the pax to...
