Hotels, waiter, anything that puts you in contact with people. Do you have another language? If you don't, take a year off from your hectic 20 yr old schedule and go and live somewhere and learn one! Ski fields of some Swiss mountain, teach english in asia, backpack around NZ (they have their own brands of English there, probably not recognised as a real foreign language though!! shame about that...)
