Cool

howdy all been travelling the NSW country side, off to CBR today, only a 11hr day for me!!! and this is the shortest day trip for me!!! Thanx for the response regarding the annual wages for FA's, i figured the base wages would be pretty lowsey, much the same with my work, the base wage is crap but once the allowances, shift penalties and overtime is added, it cranks up the pay!!.
So thats it for me now gotta run to catch the feral xpress....Take care all

Must let u know there're wont be any recruiting till way into mid next year. Currently over staffed new recruits are mainly rostered for stand bys. I'll give you more details in the email...hang in there with the office job...must admit i've neva done office work myself probably because it would drive me nuts, i'd be bouncing off the walls!!!

Take care...
Regards Bella

Question

I have a friend who is keen to try for Qantas. I see that they aren't recruiting at the moment but is there any use in submitting something now for the next recruitment drive? Any help appreciated.

Hey bella75,

Good to hear your christmas was a pleasant one mine was the same drank, ate and drank!!!!!

In regards to your question i dont think you would need to send confirmation of the second shots. I hope Qantas sends us our acceptance letter soon, because we have made it this far. Wishing you and future cabin crew a happy and safe New Year.

Kind Regards
Miss 22

Howdy Bella75,

Just to let you know I got the courage to ring HR at QF (im a little impatient) and I asked them about the outcome of our applications from August last year. The lady that I spoke to was very nice and she told me that we should be recieving a letter in February in regards to the position of casual or fixed term flight attendant. This letter will either state rejection or we go on a waiting list, anyhow lets keep praying that when this letter does arrive its only good news for us.

Good luck to anyone that has an interview soon.
Take care and kind regards

Good luck guys with your QA letters. I actually went for the same interview but was unsuccessful. I'm shocked that you are still waiting for a reply.
I dont think I could have stood the wait...

Hey Biscuit...don't panic mate, im sure youll be fine, if youve done a good job then im sure youll be at the top of the list, and you just dont know whats around the corner. I have a positive story for you about somebody I trained and it just proves that you never know what might happen.

This persons contract in Longhaul ended, so this FA went to Eastern. During this persons training this person was offered Perth base permanent, and knocked it back. They told this person, knock it back and your off the list, this person still said no and it was assumed this person was no longer on their list. A couple of weeks later, what happens, they called this person again, this time offering permanent in Sydney, so this person took it and is now back in Longhaul. To top it all off, everything was backdated to this persons original start date in Longhaul.

I tell you some people have all the luck, lets hope the same goes out to you.

Good luck mate

G'day all,
received letter in the mail 2day from QF to inform me of the ongoing delay in the processing of FA applications, noted that the airline industry has changed considerably (geez i didn't notice) following Sept 11 and the demise of Ansett, again apologising for the unavoidable and unexpected delay, thanking me for my patience.
Thanx QF, good to hear u haven't forgotten about us eagerly awaiting FA's.
If theres anyone else that received a letter from QF today like to share it with you.
Good luck to all who have interviews coming up, always remember look great, smile heaps and the interviewers are human too they eat, sleep and **** the same way as we do!!!!!

Gday all,. .Heard some goss, concerning the interviews conducted back in June 2001, for QF flight attendant positions. Heard QF will be recruiting us on the new 767's starting mid-year, budget style, based in Cairns, flying mainly to the asian routes that mainstream QF pulled out of.. .Anyone know how true this is. . .Thanx and hope to be flying the friendly skies soon!!. .Reagards Bella75

Hey guys and gals,

Stumbled across this site and you all sound like great current/future flight attendants (whatever the category may be). You all seem to have a positive image, be passionate about the position and have wonderful people skills. So congratulations to all that have are where they want to be and for those still trying don't give up.

. .Now i'll get onto the topic ... about Australian Airlines, do you think they will use the intake from June 2001? Just curious how this would work with language skills etc. Do you think that people would reject an offer by Australian Airlines in the hope of working for Qantas?

Just curious of your opinions and so forth ....

Tim
