Talking Impulse Info needed!

Hi everyone,

I have an Impulse (Airconnex) very soon. Can anyone help me!! Any information on interviews, employment conditions, benefits, salaries, R0STERS, would be very much appreciated. Also, I would love to hear from any Impulse F/A's.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Impulse not my field of expertise but this might help. Impulse was a freight operated by Gerry McGowan in the 80's. In 1993 Impulse took over the collapsed regional Oxley Airlines and Pacific Aviation in1994. Has new crew bases in Sydney and Melbourne. New CEO is Bevan Coote former head of Eastern Australian Airlines. There are a lot of postings re impulse on the net under air crews control.. .Goodluck

If you do a search under Air Crews Control you will be getting old information. They were employed by Impulse in July 2001 and have much better pay and working conditions under an EBA.

I do not work as an FA for Impulse however I do work closely with them.

Salary ranges between $30,000 to $40,000. Rosters are issued on a monthly basis, mainly overnights and double overnights with only one day shift in Sydney and Melbourne. Only 2 bases (at this stage, who knows in the future) Sydney and Melbourne.

Mr Seatback 2 will be able to give you more information that you require. Try emailing him. Do a search on Impulse and choose the topics that are recent and you should get what you need.

Good luck and if you don't get the info you need email me and I will try and help you.

Good luck with your interview Biggers!!

Sorry to diverge a little off track, but are Flight and Cabin crew now directly employed by Impulse? And, being a fully owned subsiduary of QANTAS, as per Southern/Eastern/Sunstate, what benefits does this have?

Am asking cos I want to work on the other side of the cockpit door! (in the pointy end)

Cheers in advance, and knock 'em dead biggers!!

Talking

All Impulse crew are directly employed by Impulse, who are now a wholly owned subsidiary of QF (like Eastern, etc).

Benefits to be forthcoming in the near future...such as staff travel etc!
