Lady P, I dont know much about the cabin crew recruitement process myself, but if you send me a private message with your email address, I can put you in touch with some of the ladies who do the recruitement, for tips and advice.

Hi, I do,.....but am a pilot, so I might not know too much about cabin crew matters.
There are a lot of cabin crew based in the uk,...Norwich, Humberside, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, etc.........but you will not find too many here on pprune, cos we have our own company bulletin and gossip board....as well as the bar in the NH Hotel in Amsterdam.
If you need specific info, send me a private message and I will give you the email address of some cabin crew in Norwich that you can contact directly.
All the best

Hi
Do you fly for Cityhopper at the moment
I'm about to start working for Cityhopper in Norwich next month. Will be training in Amsterdam for a month first, I was wondering if you could tell me a little about the training please.
I'm currently cabin crew for a charter company so have a fair idea of some of the subject that I will learn.
Can you tell me roughly how much money you take home per month (if you dont mind) I'm abit concerned.
Thanks very much

Yes Katie, there are 2 or 3 KLM Crew websites,.....once you have your staff number, etc, you will get access to them.
I see you are starting on 8 November. That means you will have the pleasure of spending your first 2 or 3 weeks at the NH Hotel in Amsterdam,....or the centre of the universe, , cos you will seem to spend most of your life there.
Socially, its great, you'll meet lots of other crew, and get up to speed with the company gossip in no time.
Norwich is a very nice base. Good mix of ages and personalities, and good nightstops for the winter.
(Some advice: when you are in the NH, dont be shy to go up to other KLM cabin crew you see milling about, the uniform is a dead giveaway, , and introduce yourself. You'll meet more people quicker, and get settled in quicker too)
Good luck with the course, and see you online sometime

Yes Kate, as hottowel says, "welcome aboard" and enjoy the course.
2 of the trainers you will meet on the course in Amsterdam are Angie (Norwich based) and Carla (Humberside based)......both are very nice ladies with great personalities......you will have a ball on the course!

hi Ray....
I was crew at humberside till 2000..... if you bump into any of the humberside girls, can you say 'Kristian say's hi and hopes they are well''
ta!
To those of you starting, you'll have a ball....If Carla is training you then you'll have a ball...she's lovely and one of the most glam stewardesses i've ever met!!!
Kinda wish i was still there now.....BA longhaul is fun, but you can't beat the small, friendly bases. I remember some mad mad room parties with HUY LBA GLA and NCL girls and boys in 'the golden tulip'as was!!!

hi loobylou
I have been told that I will get 2 weekends home within the training course. Not sure what the monthly take home will be yet although I don't think it will be less than £1000 as you get upto 4 nightstops a week. Sounds like a great company to work for.

Hey there and a very warm welcome on board!!
I'm Leeds based and have been with the company since January. There is a great bunch of people both at leeds and indeed Norwich. I'm still junior joey, but when I was on my 6 months probation I was bringing home 1300-1400 a month. Now am perm I'm bringing 15-1575 a month home. It all depends on your nightstops-They change every three months or so. In my humble opinion it's a good comapny to work for, and am sure you will enjoy it. The training team are fab-a great mix of experience both on line and the classroom, you'll have a laugh as well as learning what you need to know. Do say hello if you see me in the NH. Good luck
