Don't worry about asking questions. That's what is forum is here for.
The time frame for me was:
Interview -> Famous Phone Call = 4 weeks (it's hell)
Phone Call -> Letter re medical requirements = 16 days
Time to do the medicals = 14 days
Submit medicals -> Final Approval = 2 to 14 days (still waiting for mine)

assessment days in dubai

I am thinking about attending their open days on September.

Reach tests
After the reach tests, was the group trimmed down? Or everybody else proceeded to the next round before the elimination?
Did everybody do it at the same time?
When you stretched as far as you can, did you have to hold for a few secs and waited for the facilitator to say youre done or??
I sound so worried, I know.
On my wall at home, I have measured 212cm, and fortunately can reach it on tiptoes.
But I can only reach the 212 mark, nothing more... hehe
Please do tell me more...

Reach Tests
The first round consisted of CV, reach test and group discussion. As far as I know, if you are dismissed, you are not told what part you failed.
I was not asked to hold the reach for any length of time, but I am 6ft. We were asked not to look at the people doing the reach test, so I can't tell you if the shorter people were asked to do this.
Hopefully, someone else out there can answer this for you.

Open day registration
I registered for an open day couple weeks ago, but haven't got any reply. Is this normal and I can just attend the day? I have been invited to an open day before, but was not able attend then.

From my own experience I applied online and didn't get an email to attend the assessment until a few days before hand so even if you haven't had a reply yet don't worry, there is time yet Have you considered submitting an application for the assessment day?

actually, some of the examples i gave were just exaggerated since i haven't experienced those things that she was asking from me. i just made sure that it's realistic and that ive handled it very good.

Steegily, thanks for being very patient with my questions . i have a feeling i will have many more when my OD/assessmend day nears, so please stretch your patience with me. 
Also, is there anyone here who has attended an assessment day in Dubai? I would love to know how different or alike the process is from those in other countries. and how soon the application process is ,especially if youre on a visit visa and pressed for time.
For those already EK crews, i know that perfect eyesight is not required, but is there some sort of a limitation? my eye grade is a -2.00. Does that fall within the qualifications?
Lastly, Is there anyone here who was hired in Dubai? Specifically those who were employed by another Dubai company when they applied with EK, and got their residence visa transferred into EK's when they were hired. Did you encounter problems with the NOL's,etc.

I have no idea why the moderator deleted my question so I will ask again. Could someone please tell me, for pay and conditions is the Emirates CC job close to that which you are told about in your initial interview?
