Is it also possible to attend an Assessment Day in Dubai, even if you don`t live there? A flight attendant working for EK told me that the chances of getting hired are better in Dubai then in my home country, so he recommended me to come to Dubai for an interview, because I already went to an Open Day twice here in Germany and failed both times!

At the Career website they have every month a couple of Assessment Days in Dubai. In general you have to have an invitation to attend one of these Assessment Days, but I am not sure if you have to have an invitation for the one in Dubai? Because they say you just have to drop off your CV from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Career Center. So how does this work? You just drop off your CV and then they invite you or not? And if they invite you, where will the interview take place? In Dubai or in your home country?

Hi rivaldo,

I don`t think there are any Open Days in Dubai, at least I didn`t hear of any yet! I think they just have Assessment Days in Dubai, like I said before, you have to drop off your CV at the Career Center. The dates are at their website:

Dubai Assessment

Hi ALiya,
For the Dubai based assessment day, you can drop off your CV between 4 to 5 pm on any weekday, and then you will get called back if they want you to attend an assessment day.
The assessment day will be held in the career centre in the Emirates building itself.

About the whole 21 thing and being able to service alcohol, Etihad's age requirement is 20 and Abu Dhabi is part of the U.A.E. and Dubai is too, but why is Emirates' 21?

EKHQ, thank you for the information! I didn`t know that you can drop off your CV any day, I thought it has to be the dates they say at their website. Do you know how long it will take them in general to respond if they are interested?

Aliya

THe dates they post are the actual assessment days.
You need to drop your CV off before that.
Im really not sure how many days earlier though..
Be prepared that there are tons of Cv's being dropped off everyday..
not sure where you are based...after you apply online...then mayber you can send them an email saying that you could fly to dubai for them.

Hi!

I would like to attend an Emirates open day this month. If I was lucky enough to be successful, I would be unable to fly out for 4 months. Is this possible? I have heard that Emirates usually give you 3 months to go, but I am just wondering if they ever extend it?

Many thanks

cabin crew Courses

Hi,

im new to this website, and i am very interested in becoming a flight attendant for Emirates.

i just have a question i hope i can get help with.

I live in australia, and they are offering a cabin crew course at brisbane airport. Do you think this will help with the recruitment process or would i be wasting $5000 ?

The company doing the course said it is recognised worldwide by major airlines, but to me it sounded like they were just saying that to get my money.

Thanks in advance.

Sherrie

Hi Sherrie,
If you want to fly for Emirates, then you just need to apply or attend an open day in Oz.
They recruit majorly there.
I personally think that although the course would give you an insight the knowledge to be a cabin crew, it would be ineffective to help you get a job with Emirates.
Emirates look for the personality when they recruit, not prior knowledge.
Good Luck.

Well, I still have some time until I can reapply again, my last Open Day was at the end of November in Frankfurt. But I am planning on flying to Dubai in June, then I will drop off my CV around this time and see what will happen. But thanks again for all the information, this was very helpful!

Dxb Medical

When youre recruited in Dubai, you will be asked to go to certain doctors and get you medical and dental tests done.
You will also need to get approved by the EK medical clinic prior to your joining date.

Eye Test

Hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone can answer my question. In my application form that i received at my walk-in interview. I answer "No" to the question 'Do you wear contact lenses? If yes, state the power. '

I have perfect vision but I have high astigmatism. I wear glasses only if I use the computer or driving at night. Will this be a problem in the Eye test Examination , if I get the position??

Sincerely,
hazzelika

cabin crew Courses

Hi,

I completed the cabin crew Course in Brisbane some time ago and I am still looking for a job as cabin crew - they didn't help me much.
