This is probably one reason why they still exist.

Wrong. Many staff on Duty Travel do not receive daily meal allowances but receive instead actual sums expended on meals on production of receipts. No food, no reimbursement. No receipt, no reimbursement. They do not return home with a fistful of dollars. Also, they are not paid ADTA or ODTA.

The so-called good-times for many Qantas staff changed years ago.

Informed

Ba Lert you are remarkably well informed and remarkably thick skinned.
Why does what other people earn concern you so much?
In actual fact it is really none of your business.

DEFCON4,
If you read through other posts by BA here and on other threads there is one constant theme and that is plain jealousyor should I say PLANE jealousy. He is constantly attacking cabin crew and tech crew and accusing them of boorish behaviour when they respond.
BA must sit on the bus or train to QCC everyday and fume when he spots crew going to or from work.Poor old BA sitting in his little cubicle and then going home must really get to him.
He has never worked on an aircraft either as cabin crew or tech crew but knows how to do our job and all the pitfalls involved and probably every other job on the planet.

It must really irritate you to see crew being paid to leave when they have been paid so much for years....

Here is a challenge for you BA ,tell us what building at the base you work in at least. That would only narrow it down to a thousand or so.Your identity would still be safe...go on,if you have any honesty or integrity and tells us how much you are paid if you want to be fair and we can discuss you conditions as well.....You have told all how much allowance we get and the conditions we have but will not do the same for yourself..

If you did then you could show how much cabin crew are over paid and I'm sure TWIGGS would agree with you so what have you got to lose

BA Lert
you are pathetic. Obvious junior management on contract.if that.
It was you who stated we wanted to suppress allowances. I pointed out it was management who wanted conditions suppressed. Particularly the conditions applicable to third world countries that our Company is currently paying our Thai, Kiwi and Australian crew.

Your right most australians dont get 500 000 in superpayment.
We achieve that amount due predominantly to the performance of our fund. Understand many volunatrily top up their super which many Australians do not do.
The conditions that our Company is currently forcing Australians to work under(particularlythose based in NZ and flying QF L Haul) will be our Companies darkest hour if those and the conditions of the Thais are made public.
Our Company will always face tough competition and times. That as we all appreciate is the nature of the business. What it doesnt justify is the continual screwing of your employees.
People like you have no comprehension of loyalty or accepting that reasonable conditions are not just a reflection of a business but a requirement of Australian standards of living.
Its time the likes of you who want to push for lower conditions go and live in a country which has a lower living standard.Note Companies are making profits like never before. Yes they must keep their eye on the financial ball but attempting to use IR legislation to exploit labour to further their bottom line whilst paying themselves(management) more is reprehensible.

Keep up your defensive , jealous, bitter, empty rhetoric and we might start educating you on here with more details of the shameful conditions that our company is currently subjecting the Thais, Kiwis and Aussies to.I noticed you didnt refer to any of that in your last 2 posts.

Has the cat got your tongue.Cmon BA Lerty you want to publish allowances why dont you publish the Thais , kiwis and Aussie conditions on here. Bare in mind they are employed by an Australian airline, wear that airline uniform and work on that carriers aircraft which is considered Australian territory.Dont attempt to suggest that jet connect in NZ does not mean they dont work for QF. That is a technical sidestep to avoid paying them to the accepted Australian standard of all other australian based QF cabin crew.
Speak up! Speak UP!
