Escape Slide the nearest to the ideal boss you are looking for that I have worked for was Sir Adam Thomson of British Caledonian. A very genuine guy with an empathy with his work force that unfortunately his fellow directors by and large didn't have. It was when ill health set in and he was sidelined that the big problems set in with BCal.

As for PS, he either isn't as knowledgeable about things that go in his own companies or he is economical with the truth on purpose. At a creditors meeting for EAAC he spoke with me and assured me that he would ensure that the 560 persons made redundant on March 17th, 2004, would all be paid in full the 3 months salary they were owed. I believe the settlement was actually nearer 0.03p in the pound!!!

He is very convincing to talk with and that is how he gets the backing to launch and fail projects with such regularity.

Sir Adam Thompson and the topic of Ozjet Airlines

I remember that guy, Sir Adam, he was indeed a noble man of good repute. Bless his soul. He knew how to run an airline. Where are these sort of people today? Where are the people who still send you a get well card as an amployee when you are sick or follow up to see how you are going after you resigned. I would put in extra hours without pay to support a leader like that.

Yes PS is a smooth talker, and he is willing to follow his dreams but he doesn't appear to have what it takes to breed success. To do that, you really have to listen to your peers. He struck me as being unfocussed on the real imperatives during the interview.

Errmm...
For the benefit of EAF122. Firstly, get his name right. It's Stoddart. Secondly, learn the language. It's HIDING, SPEECH and FARCE amongst your more noticeable spelling errors. Thirdly, your last post could be interpreted as rather threatening. Lastly, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, this thread is about Ozjet, not EAAC. Get a life and move on.
surely not and sixmilehighclub. Exactly what facts are you basing your (what would seem to be) allegations on? I am no friend of his and, as I said above, an Ozjet thread is hardly the place to air views on EAAC, but he stepped BACK in to EAAC to stop it going down the toilet after the previous management team put in to "maximise the company's potential" had apparently removed all the potential and, allegedly, most of the money...
Stop blaming him for what other people did.
