Thumbs down Flybe Cabin Crew *new* uniform

Crikey... Just seen the new cabin crew ties and scarves. They are bright red with yellow and blue polka dots...

If i wanted to look like a clown I would have joined a circus... oh hang on I work for a Flying Circus, does that count??

OMG - certainly sounds "out there" - do you have a link to pics of the uniform so we can take a look too?

ha ha, that could be very useful danflybe!! Rude passenger, squirt him with water, better yet, in the crotch, so it looks like he wet himself

do any of you have a link to a photo so we can look at how ugly this uniform is??!

Heres some pics - sorry about the poor quality just taken them on my mobile!

Heres the new tie with the shirt - not too bad from a distance:

Heres is the tie material close up (see what we mean about clown like!)

Here is the old tie with the shirt

Ok, the dots are a bit OTT..but I was expecting some kind of multi-coloured outfit filled with red, orange, blue, green diamond shaped bits plastered all over or something (unless that is the ladies version )

Flyblue,

Seriously, it is not! You know how garish those Thomsonfly aircraft look nowadays... well I do! I'm now dressed like one!

I for one think that the old tie blends much better with the uniform. It might be a bit 1970's, but 70's diag-striped ties are back in!

Who ever designed this new image? What were they thinking?

T :-(

Are the dots being incorporated into the uniform because on the new Dash 8 Q400's the words British European (written on the fuselage under FlyBe) have been dropped and replaced with coloured dots? I could be wrong though.

Well Stand 5 today at SOU and looking through the rain a bright streak of red was walking along the apron....it was a flybe tie! And awful it looked to. Maybe with this filthy high viz tie, our male cabin crew are exempt from wearing a high viz jacket airside!!!

Whoever chose and vetted this choice must have been p**sed when they did.

Grrr

Candy,

Nah, she's long gone. Cabin Svcs is now In-Flight Svcs and is headed by SH. But from what I understand it's marketing making the uniform decisions. Bards!

I have to say I quite like it. It doesn't look anything like as bad as evryone seems to think. Certainly a massive improvement on the vomit streak that was the old one.

Now if only they could find you something to wear that was an improvement on those God-awful smocks!

Maude,

You're right when you mention the smock/trenchcoat - Hangin!
But I don't agree with your comments on the tie. It's simply just too shiny. The girl's scarves are a bit 'duller' and so are not actually that bad but it makes us boys look like some kind of comedy act. The amount of airport staff, colleagues, ground staff, etc, who keep saying 'nice tie!' sarcastically pretty much sums it up!
