new (and unexpected) contract for AAE ??

i´ve just heard a rumour in "galley FM" that says that AAE (in LGW) have very recently got a new (and unexpected) contract for this winter , starting in mid november, to operate flights London-Dubai in behalf of Etihad.
And apparently, if this rumour is true, 2 new 747s (300 and 400) will be brought to LGW and more cabin crew will be needed. One of these planes in currently being operated by Iberia.

Also the rumours says that it still have to be decided if this new contract will be operated by AAE or AAI.

hope this is true and AAE have a busy winter.

Can someone confirm this??

hi yeah aae are not getting this contract as the xla guys have got it. all AAE are getting gb registered so AAE and XLA are allowed to fly together so their is going to be more work for everyone anyway. some of the xla guys could be on the 747 some of the aae could be on the 757 767 737 which i dont think their going to like but hey.
