Red face to be - or not to be.. etihad???

hey guys.. anybody currently workin for etihad? been invited for interview and am kinda wondering. used to fly with qatar airways and that was some nightmare.. horrible working condition and doha is a right sh??hole.. used to live in dubai and loved it. UAE seemed to be far more open and emirates crew really happy. different atmosphere...

let me know guys whether i should bother with them.. and how u like it. currently flying in europe but miss the sun..

thanks!

Hey Tequila,
Another former Qatarino here....Two of my Qatar batch mates are flying for Etihad at the moment and they seem to be enjoying it. Its certainly not like working for Prison Warden Akbar!!!
Best of luck whatever you decide!

Yes, as an ex QR employee, I know several people ex EK and QR at EY and they seem to be having fun, although I know for a fact that one of the ex QR people had a touch of Deja Vu when he was terminated for no reason!

However, it does seem much better than QR where I know a few people that have been "taken personally" by both AAB and SK!

LoVeLy,
Just do a search on Qatar airways and see what sort of things have been written about them. Also,Just because an airline is "Up And Coming", doesnt mean its a good airline to work for. Germany was an up and coming country under Hitler...But history soon told!!!!

QR cabin crew are all fantastic though. They all work extremely hard, so the label "taking you more personally" is in fact true, from the customers point of view.

What goes on behind the scenes is a different story................

EY loads into the UK still seem to be very light, even after all this time.

That is incorrect.

Our loads into LHR have always been good; full more often than not.

LGW struggled for a while but is now bouncing back with 70% LF for the past 2 weeks.

hi there lily, check out the other QANTAS/ETIHAD forum.. flying 206 says its all bad roamer. SO i guess we should believe him.. if I should believe him as well as what i was told on my assessment day ur salary should get up to 6-7k. So what the hell.. would love to have it confirmed with someone who's flying with etihad.. Im really confused.. Havent resigned from my current job yet and wont till im really sure about the pay. Let me know if u know more

take care

PS/ where did you do the interview with etihad?

I do not mean to offend you 16tequila, but don't you think that the words you used are some what harsh? You think Doha does not meat your living style, fair enough, but you shouldn't name it s***hole just because you didn't like it.

God! I can't believe it! People tarvel around the world and live in different cities and yet they can't be open minded enough (sorry 16tequila nothing personal here ). Please gals/guys if you want to state an opinion be fair will you?

Cheers
