Self Introduction
Singapore Airlines puts 10 pax in the first round where applicants introduce themselves. What should I say in order to impress?
Ive got this friend who told me one of the applicants with her talked about her hobby.. making japanese jelly.. thou she was cheerful and kept smiling.. she wasnt chosen to go into the next round. Why is that so? I thought all u need to do is just smile your way thru?

Thats why im posting this thread.. if hobbies are a no-no, den what will be things that will interest them and intrigue them so much that they'll invite me to the next round?
Im really not sure what these recruiters are looking for. Pretty faces? I dont think so. They are looking for ppl who can tink on their feet.. how can I prove to them that I am someone who can do just that?

It's far less about what you say, as the way that you say it.
Do you make eye contact with people in the room, or do you talk to the floor/ceiling/back wall. Do you vary your voive, or is it all in a boring monotone.
I'd like someome who is caring, but confident, who is approachable, who can deal with awkward/tired/anxious people - not just thinking about the next stop/home, for example.

wow.. its harder than i thought.. i tink im not as prepared as i thought..
so it really boils down to whether the recruiters see you as someone who's caring and thoughtful.. how one make oneself seem that way during the self-introduction phase...
so does what a person say really matters? or is it the tone of voice more important? what should i talk about? the reason why i want to be a flight attendant?
