Closing Date for Application
I just tried sending my aplication to singapore airlines recently. The closing date stated is 4th Dec but then i didnt send it till 6th Dec morning. I tried sending twice around 11pm on 4th but the mail bounced back with a message that said "database quota exceeded" or something like that.
My friend sent it 2 days earlier and she received an invitation for an interview on the 18th last friday. The photo I sent's real crappy.. its taken with my nokia hp while her's taken with a digicam.
are airlines really strict with closing dates? Im really crushed by the rejection.. thou it'll be nice to console myself that the reason im not shortlisted is not becos im not good enough.

A closing date means just that! A closing date. why are you suprised that the email bounced back?
Working for an airline centres around punctuality and discipline, so yes they are strict on those aspects even from the applications stage.

plus, as you can imagine, they'd have thousands of people applying, so any applications that get sent in after the closing date don't get taken on board, just an easy way to cull off excess applications "you didn't meet the deadline, bad luck, try again next time"!
Good luck next time round!
