European Air Charter Problems (again)

I am hearing rumours that the Cabin Crew manager (a certain tubby welshman) is causing allsorts of problems for himself and the crew are reporting him for various levels of unprofessional behaviour. As I understand it he is under alot of pressure to leave. That will be good news if he does go as they need to get someone professional in. Alot of the crew seem to be very disheartened and upset with life there at the moment.

Anyone care to shed some light on this?

Its been a tough year at European, Ive been flying as cabin crew with them for a few years, and yes they still owe me alot of money aswell . . . .(lets not start that debate again!!) but in their defense it is a good airline (some may say 'outfit') to work for. Its the people that make it. Putting the old a/c and the occasional hiccups aside, it is good fun. Recently crews have been utilised better and the work is picking up. But as with every airline there is the uncertainty of the future, none more so than european . . . regarding the above post....bring back D**k B**l and all will be forgiven!! (well almost)!!

As Surely Not as already said, I was going to post!!

I phoned Moore Stephens a couple weeks ago and I was told that Rachael Farrington was on holiday, just as well I was sitting down at that point!! However the girl I spoke to (name escapes me) said that we can expect another payment in December. Thats about it really.

Any news on tribunals yet? I new that a few people went to Croydon for a tribunal a month or so ago and the representitaves form EAAC did not show up! Now there is a surprise!!!!!!

Hi All

I spoke with Rachael at Moore Stephens yesterday and she told me that they are just waiting of confirmation of what we are owed (these figures come from ERA Soloutions) before they will start writing any cheques.

They should be in possesion of enough cheques and cheque writers as well as the amout of what we are owed by the beginning of next week.

EAAC have released £500,000 to Moore Stephens (the second half million will be released in May 2005) and we will be paid at 3p in the pound this time around with the balance in May also to be paid at 3p in the pound. It still works out at 6p in the pound - it is just that the figures have been halved thats why it is 3p in the pound.

However if EAAC profits are more than £1million while operating under the protection of the CVA, for example if they make 1.5 million pounds then in May, Moore Stephens will be given an additional £1million as they would have already been given £500K (this total makes 1.5 million pounds - EAAC's operating profit while operating under the CVA). But if EAAC's profits are less than the second installment of £1million Moore Stephens will still get £500,000 in May as the second £1million is a garrunteed amount, (£500,000 now and £500,000 in May totals the second £1million payment that has been promised)

So expect a cheque within the next couple weeks, though I doubt it will be for that much!

L J

Mods - I know I have posted this in the Rumours & News forum as well, but I just want it to be read by as many Ex-EAAC staff as poss so they know what is going on and what to expect.

thank you so much for the info!!

but why did they pay us so much (two times £400, once in may and once in the summer) and they will pay us so little now and next may (3 pence / £)??????

and my second question. Will they pay us all the money they own us in small amounts (probably completing it by year 2020??) or is it possible that the last pay will be next May and that's all??

thanks for your help!

p.d. I bet my cheque will me less than £15....
