Manchester, just for the feeling of being in that quaintest of European countries, the UK.
Cape Town for the most incredible scenery and being the end of the world.
Sydney because the place, the scenery around the city and the people are fantastic, different, vibrant and roaring with rough beauty.
Accra because the people are the friendliest in the whole wide world. The smells, the plants, the way things look, it's Africa for beter of for worse but the real thing.
Buenos Aires 'cause most of its men are walking eye-candy and the food is straight from heaven.
Tel Aviv because on short haul it's the only place where you can lie on the beach and pretend you're on long haul.
Jeddah because I enjoy a few days of walking 'round dressed like a penguin and experiencing what it's like to be invisible. Also because sunset with the muezzin calling from the Mosques has a moving if stern beauty to it. And because the diving is the best I've ever done.
New York; just walking the pavements still makes me feel like I'm in a movie.
Curacao. Relaxed like only the Carib can be. Dancing outside at the old fort on a friday night. Live bands playing and clean smelling, broad smiling chaps who whisk you away for endlessly smooth salsas and merengues, so that for a short while you can pretend to yourself that life's a trade breeze and you actually know how to dance.
Sapporo because I never tire of how truly different Japan and it's people are to the west.
Chicago where I can spend en entire day in the bookshop by the Water Tower and no one will know so I won't get teased.

Thanks for asking give_me_ur_SSH, just thinking about these places has put a smile on my face!

If you like shopping, Shangai is the place. There is also a very busy night life with clubs and restaurants. Less enthousiastic about the restaurants though. Last time I went there they tried to label snails (not escargots) as seafood

Since on Long-Haul, it has to be Toronto for me. Its just so much like a mini-world all wrapped up in one huge city with the little diverse districts. Excellent shopping too. You can just fade away into those wonderful clean streets and be anybody for a night!

Back on the good old days of short-haul charter, it had to be the Friday afternoon/evening MAH... just amazing stood at the bottom of the steps outside the 757 waiting for the next bus load of pax and admiring the beautiful sunset as the season drew to an end. Stunning!

Strange how you can miss charter sometimes isn't it!!!

I'm shorthaul so never really get off the aircraft, but I love flying to Madrid and Manchester. I love Madrid, because the passengers are always nice and I love sitting on the steps and sitting in the sun for a few minutes. The airport is so interesting to watch aswell, so much is going on! I also love doing Manchester, because it's always such a rush and your adrenalin gets pumping. We have thirty minutes to offer a bar service, food and gash in e.t.c and the time just goes in a flash!!

New York: the best place to be. You can find anything in this city, the busy streets, shops and restaurants, but also quiet erea's and parks. I just love the many different races that come together in this city

Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen: I always feel very much at home in these cities. I just love Scandinavia.

Amsterdam: my home town! It is a beautiful and very romantic city. Old houses and buildings and not to forget the many canals. A great city to hang out. Don't forget to bring your bike!

Sydney: unfortunately KLM does not fly to SYD anymore, but I had many layovers here. A beautiful city with nice beaches, great shops, restarants and nightlife.

Singapore: nice food!!!!

Never met a bar I haven't loved dancing on.
Ladies night seems to be every night.
Gorgeous men everywhere!
One wild party from sun down to sun up.
(Wild child! You bet!)
AND....... Shopping! Shopping! Shopping!
