Monarch, be a senior or earn money
Is it my imagination or are the lowest paid crew at Monarch the seniors? Whilst the juniors disappear off to Male for another week the seniors get to operate the ZBs and night Corfus. Whatever happened to sharing out the trips? If you want to take home some decent money folks for god's sake don't take promotion at Monarch! Is this just a problem at Monarch or are you all suffering?

Where I used to work (a charter airline from LGW) that was happening as well with the few trips that were going! The juniors would reguraly earn more money then the seniors!

Well I too have to agree in all the airlines i worked for as a senior I was regulary taking home less than the main/jnr crew.... but as the "management" said being a senior does have its disadvantages... Now how are we supposed to remain positive on that sort of comment?
Hope it improves for you ZB !

Same thing used to happen in FCA.
One very well known Flight Supervisor copmplained directly to the manager after years of this crap system. the IFS manager gently (not) replied that "we don't have the money to pay you more". Yeah, right!! Have you seen how much profit FCA made last year??? Where is all that money going???
Anyway, this FS then decided to demote herself from N.1 straight to N.3 right there in front of her......You can imagine MD's (ugly) face!! Oh Dear!!!!!!!!!
Very well done!!!
She's now enjoying her money much, much more, and has no responsibility at all....bliss!!!

Monarch seniors?
Well I am delighted to hear that Monarch juniors are earning more money and getting better flights than the seniors. About time. I've been in the industry 10 years and Monarch were the most miserable, crappy airline I ever worked for! I was a temp hired in Feb 95, and by mid July several of my class had done a runner as we were so badly treated and only had turnaround flights after being promised long haul at interview. There was so much jealousy that year from senior crew that we, the juniors, got treated very shabbily at London Gatwick. Management must have had an investigation and redressed the imbalance as to why so many of us had dumped our badges, ID's, uniforms and manuals at concorde House......the dole was a better option!!

Considering 3 times as many juniors make up the crew compliment and the number of seniors who are part time or don't want long haul . I wouldn't have thought it suprising that some of them have the chance to make more money
